Acceleration

Eighteen types of acceleration are identified in The Templeton National Report on Acceleration, A Nation Deceived: How Schools Hold Back America’s Brightest Students (Colangelo, Assouline, & Gross, 2004.) The following are some of the types of acceleration to consider. These acceleration practices fall within two main categories as delineated below.
